			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A rather intriguing thought we recently came across was from the mind of Jean Nouvel, one of the 20<sup>th</sup> Century’s (&amp; now 21<sup>st</sup>) most notable names in architecture.   In an interview with Julie V. Lovine, Nouvel stated, <em>“…the idea that one hotel could be better than another,”</em> was one he didn’t much agree with.</p>
<p>Apparently Nouvel embarks upon a journey where he tends to seek out hotels that reflect the spirit of the locale.  He mentions to Julie about his affinity towards hotels like Danieli and Cipriani in Venic, and, the Mercer Hotel in New York City.   <em>“I don’t like hotels that take the value of the city and give nothing back to it, like the International Style with all the same rooms.”</em> – Jean Nouvel</p>
<p>Nouvel also said that his room, <em>“…has to have something unique about it – some colors, interesting proportions that you won’t have anyplace else.   It is part of the trip.”</em></p>
<p>What Team Oriens is curious to know is, just how many travelers share Jean Nouvel’s view and who might these travelers be?</p>
<p>Would a business traveler care much about these nuances… or perhaps the typical tourist?  Probably not.  This feeling may likely be reserved for the consummate traveler.  The type of individual who actually enjoys the total experience of the hotel and cares of how the lodging environment contributes to the enjoyment and connection to the city to which he or she is visiting.</p>
<p>Oriens (OTHM) definitely will seek to live up to Nouvel’s expectations with the development of some its <a href="http://orienscorp.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/oriens-othm-hotel-pure-brands.pdf">Hotel PURE brands</a> in the years to come.   Capturing this feeling however will not be easy and will not happen over night.   But within the next five years, one of the 300 plus hotels OTHM aspires to flag, manage, operate and/or own under the <a href="http://orienscorp.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/oriens-othm-hotel-pure-brands.pdf">Hotel PURE brand</a>, will live up to the lodging expectations of one of today’s greatest architectural minds and hotel aficionados.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Andrea Petersen of the Wall Street Journal wrote an article <a href="http://orienscorp.wordpress.com/relevant-news/when-home-is-where-the-hotel-is/">detailing the growing interest of extended-stay guest</a> who all but take a physical mailing address at some of the country’s high-end hotels.  While most people cannot ever imagine such “modest comforts,” for the lucky few, it is like living a lavish dream.   Daily room service… hand to foot luxuries… gourmet meals… dog walkers… unlimited amenities, and of course, world class concierges.</p>
<p>OTHM executives know one or two people – ah hemm, a consultant maybe – who’ve actually had such a grand experiences.  They LOVE it!   Ahhh…. One Day! <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>LAS VEGAS, NV&#8211;(GlobeNewswire &#8211; 12/15/11) &#8211; <a href="http://orienscorp.wordpress.com/">Oriens Travel and Hotel Management Corp.</a> (OTHM.PK),  announced that a mainstream launch of the internal booking engine driving its Hotel PURE brand’s reservations, along with the proposed release of a <a href="http://orienscorp.wordpress.com/press-releases/article-2/">hotel web and booking application</a> for mobile devices, is imminent in 2012.</p>
<p>&#8220;The booking engine that powers our brand’s reservation system is quite powerful and is in part a major reason for our growing success within the lodging industry,” stated Ken Chua, President and CEO of Oriens Travel and Hotel Management Corp. (OTHM.PK)  <a href="http://www.orienscorp.com/">www.OriensCorp.com</a>,  announced today that the integration schedule for its  new Hotel PURE (<a href="http://www.hotelpure.com/">www.HotelPURE.com</a>) Santa Cruz beach hotel will be completed ahead of schedule.</p>
<p>&#8220;We certainly expected full integration to be completed by the turn of the New Year but never within the 2<sup>nd</sup> full week of this month,” stated Ken Chua, President and CEO of Oriens Travel and Hotel Management Corp. (OTHM).   “To me, this is certainly an indication of our growing proficiency.”</p>

(which acquisition is expected to be finalized by Christmas), the continued increase in proficient integration is happily welcomed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today&#8217;s Wall Street Journal published an article concerning a 2009 tax increase set by New York City Counsel in March of 2009, raising the hotel tax from 5% to 5.875%.   That increase was set to expire.  However, it seems that the Council has voted to extend the increase on the city&#8217;s hotel tax which adds approximately $2 to the average daily hotel room rate.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As of late, we have been happily receiving correspondence from our shareholders and prospective investors.   The questions vary, but from time to time, a particular question gives us cause to consider if there may be other shareholders who possibly share similar sentiments to the initial inquisitor.   This prompts us to take both the question and response and draft a blog posting for all of our readers.</p>
<p>In this past week, one of our shareholders forwarded an email to our corporate info site (<a href="mailto:info@HotelPUREmail.com">info@HotelPUREmail.com</a>).   It read:</p>

I&#8217;ve been &#8220;sitting&#8221; on 845 shares of OTHM at the bargin aggregated cost of $550.00 for quite a while.  Is there any hope of breaking even much less coming out ahead?<br />
I&#8217;ll be interested in your reply</em></strong></p>

<p>Initially, we were stumped in responding to this for several reasons.   The first being the legal ramifications we could face if we accidentally step over bounds.  The second was simply, how could we in any way tell this shareholder that they actually had a chance of breaking even or maybe coming out ahead?   We couldn’t nor did we.   However, what we could do and did was present the obvious; likely an equally appealing answer depending on what investment decisions that shareholder and their investment advisors ultimately make.</p>
<p>Our response went as such:</p>

<p>Mr. John Doe of theUSA,</p>
<p>First, it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to communicate with you Mr. Doe (may we call you John?).   Secondly, we must apologize for the tardy response, but we like to do our best in taking care to answer our fellow shareholders as best as possible.  Unfortunately this communication is due to tenuous concerns, but we will aspire to have happier moments going forward.</p>
<p>Before we answer, please be mindful that we are a public company and therefore are not always at liberty to answer all questions in a matter that may seem satisfactory to you. This will mean, at times we&#8217;ll be direct, in others diplomatic, and in some cases&#8230; simply &#8220;mums the word.&#8221;  Also, we are not permitted to provide legal, financial or securities advice and therefore nothing that we say is intended to be deemed or construed as such.</p>
<p>With that said, let it be known that Oriens has seen a new day. We expect to continue on this path of ambition and successful execution. As you will find from our press releases, site information and Corporate Blog, we are in full gear to make a run at the big time.  Does this mean you are going to break even&#8230;? NO. Does this mean that you are going to come out ahead&#8230;? NO. There is no way of predicting where this stock is going to end up. With a lot of hard work, fortitude and the continued diligence we&#8217;ve displayed over the past 3 years, we can only hope for a stronger PPS.</p>
<p>However, as with any micro-cap stock, we can easily trade downward for many reasons. We could one day trip/fall, bump our heads and discontinue the same diligence that has allowed us to flag, operate and/or manage 43 hotels <strong><em>[as of the date of the response]</em></strong>, internationally, in just under four years. And if we continue to operate effectively, we may even complete the closing and integration of nearly 27 properties by year end. We&#8217;re on a roll John, we are on a roll.</p>
<p>Outside of a technical practice and trading strategy of dollar cost averaging down <strong><em>(speak with your Broker and/or Financial Advisor)</em></strong> &#8212; the execution of which is under your sole control &#8212; there is nothing that can be done to predict your breaking even or getting ahead.  Ironically, chances are, there may be other people in your same exact situation; that is, folks holding stock at the bargain aggregated price of $0.65 per share or some other price much higher than the current PPS.  Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to dollar cost average down so that their cost basis is no longer $0.65 but say… $0.03, $0.04, $0.05 or $0.06, etc., then they&#8217;d obviously have a better chance of breaking even or getting ahead should the stock actually perform.</p>
<p>Ahhh… but therein lays the rub.</p>
<p>No one knows if spending -for example- $1,000 or so to purchase 50,000 shares at $0.02 per share [for example] would result in accomplishing the goal of breaking even or getting ahead because no one knows for sure that the company’s stock will perform. We don&#8217;t even know if the company&#8217;s stock will perform and we work here!</p>
<p>So again, with apologies for the long winded response&#8230; under the current circumstance of your holding stock with a cost basis of $0.65 per share, we&#8217;d never suggest the stock price will go up or down much less &#8220;up&#8221; there [$0.65]. Only you hold the power to slightly adjust your circumstance by employing classic trading strategies should you so choose <strong><em>(please, speak with your Broker and/or Financial Advisor)</em></strong>.   Even then, if you were fortunate to get your cost basis down to just mere pennies, we still could not under any circumstance suggest the stock will go up or down much less &#8220;up&#8221;.  However, the logic of various trading and hedging strategies such as dollar cost averaging down is not to guarantee a breakeven or profit, but rather to give investors a fighting chance to mitigate risk and protect their interest.</p>
<p>Mr. Doe, you are in control of mitigating your own risk.  We are only in control of doing all that we can do in order to as best as possible strengthen and support shareholder value – Oriens is committed to this.</p>
